
Sông Cái Mulled wine
The recipe spotlights salt-pickled lemon also known as “chanh muối”.

Ingredients
750mL bottle of dry red wine
2 cups (470ml) velvet falernum
2 ounces (60ml) Sông Cái Spiced Roselle Flavored gin
2 cups (470ml) orange juice or pineapple juice
1/2 cup (120ml) Sông Cái Dry Gin
Steeping spices:
Peel of 1 orange
Peel of 1 lime
5 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
3-4 slices fresh ginger
3 bay leaves
Method
Place the steeping ingredients in a cheesecloth, then tie the cheesecloth with kitchen twine to make a teabag. Then place in a large pot.
Add all of the liquid ingredients to the pot except for the gins.
Place the pot over low heat and simmer the mixture for 20 minutes, then remove from heat.
Add the gins and ladle the mulled wine into mugs, adding sugar to taste (if desired).
Garnish
Orange peel and cinnamon stick.
